Circular Train
Circular train service is available but not punctual because
circular trains have to share the common track with inbound and
outbound long-distance trains and has to give priority to them. The
best way to obtain the updated information is asking at ticket
booth. There are 11 local trains for circular train service through
37 railway stations. The circular trains make a total of 25 round
trips daily. As a result there is a train for every 15 minutes.
City Taxi
Taxis are plentiful in Yangon. But all of them are lack of meters.
So, fares should be bargained first. Minimum fare is 1000 kyats and
may be higher for trips approaching downtown area during the rush
hours due to traffic jam.
Bus
There are over 250 bus routs in Yangon City area. Most of the buses
run from 05:00 hrs to 21:00 hrs. They are crowed during rush hours
and the average fare is 50 kyats.
Ferry Boat
For the commuters from Dala, three ferries regularly make the
10-minute trip across the Yangon River. They steam between Pansondan
Warf and Dala Warf. Boat Fare is 20 kyats per head for a trip and
operates from 5:30 hrs to 20:30 hrs.

Highway Bus
There are two highway bus terminals, namely Dagon Ayeyar Highway Bus
Terminal in Hlaing Tharyar Township which for the buses to the towns
in Ayeyawaddy Division and Aung Mingalar Highway Bus Terminal in
Mingalardon Township for the buses to travel upper Myanmar. Boat
Boat service is available for Ayeyarwaddy delta region. Tickets are
sold one-day ahead at Lan Thit Jetty from 08:00 hrs to 11:00 hrs
daily.
Train
Myanma Railways operates some 40 train-routes. Tickets are sold at
Yangon Central Railway Station compound on Bogyoke Aung San Road.
There are three classes: sleeper, soft seat (Upper Class Coach) and
hard seat (Ordinary Class Coach). Hard seat tickets usually go on
sale one day before departure and soft seat and sleeper tickets sale

There are four domestic airlines: Myanma Airways (UB), Air Mandalay
(6T), Air Bagan (W9) and Yangon Airways (YH) operate throughout all

If a traveler interest to see Myanmar Tradition and culture and village life
only, he should make Yangon, Thanlyin & Bago by car depends on the budget
either in-disposal or by bus.
To study pottery and village life take a boat trip to Twante, a small town noted
for its pottery and cotton weaving.
If you have intension for trekking/hiking takes a tour to Kyaikhtiyo (Golden
Rock), located 104 miles (166 km) from Yangon and 4 hours drive
trip. It is 13 km uphill trip climb along a winding foot path. This
hike takes around 4 hours to reach the bolder shrine. If you don’t
want to walk you can take mountain truck up to the half-way.
Just to explore the ancient city and archeological facts you should take a short
trip to Bagan.
For the purpose of exploring Myanmar Arts and Handicrafts, you should go to
Mandalay, the cultural center of Myanmar.
If you wish to have a pleasure with scenic view and ethnic minorities, Inle is
the best place by taking a flight from Yangon.
Should you like to take experience clean sand beach with pristine water for
relaxation. This is our advice to visit Ngwe Saung Beach which takes only 4
hours drive from Yangon. Ngwe Saung is a clean beach with good accommodation.
You can have additional chance to visit nearby villages.

For a short Myanmar sampler, start with a two days taste of Yangon’s
heavily gilded stupas and urban intensity, then travel to the former
royal capital of Mandalay by bus or plane and spend two days. From
